Beautiful sunny day, so off to Seattle to check out some recommended "must sees". the pictures tell the tale...called a taxi to get us to the Ferry. Arrived safe and sound and ready to see the sights at the Seattle downtown harbour.
We went to the Seattle Art Museum and thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits. I was only allowed to take pix of the entrance with the Fords hung from the ceiling and exploding with light!
Then on to Pikes Market for a lunch of Cerviche and sweet potatoes at the Cocacabana. Walked through the market passing fish, olive oil, pasta, clothing, EVERYTHING!!!
Then about a 3/4 mile walk along the harbour to the Olympic Sculpture Park. Very inspiring!
Then back towards the Ferry to the Public Lybrary's newest addition...WOW!!! I think I read that it is 362,000 square feet!!! 10 stories high and yet feels intimate and private and airy and open and everything anyone would want from a building and space. Function and form!!! Excellent!!!
Down the hill to catch the 6:20pm back to Bainbridge Island. Took a bus to Mercury's uptown office and met Carlee at the San Carlos for a mexican dinner with Alden being our illustrious waiter. Great meal, great place, and great waiter!!
Merc dropped us off and we hit the hay almost immediately!! Good night.....
