July 2nd.
Port Townsend is a wonderful town filled with "green" thinking and charm everywhere. It is out at the tip of a peninsula so has ocean on three sides! A huge marina sits right in the town with everything else spinning off of it. We noticed signs that had an RV on them leading us to the Port Townsend Fair Grounds. At the Fair Grounds we found full hook ups and a shower/bathroom in a field. We pulled on in and accomplished our self check in. What a smart and imaginative way to use the fair grounds while no fair is going on! Makes some money for the town and helps out the tourist trade at the same time! VEry cool!

We had one neighbor RV that caught our attention!!! Check out the pics to see how one can modify a tractor trailer to be a castle on wheels. We hoped to bump into these folks and wrangle our way into a tour but it never happened. We did notice about 5 kids that seemed to all live there! A girl in her early teens sat on the ground outside practicing her violin while 4 other siblings ranging from 10 to 1 played hide and seek under the tractor trailer!!!! What a life style!

Andy and I enjoyed our stay in Port Townsend, stocking up our food pantry at their co-op and tasting their excellent Thai cuisine.

On our way to Bainbridge Island to meet up with my son, Mercury and his wife, Carlee!!! Yipppeee!!!!
