Drove most of the day from VA to NC in what felt at times like a wind tunnel.  Route 58, the back road to Durham, was off the beaten path and we passed by lots of cotton farms and stands that were selling boiled peanuts and hams.  Although the urge was almost irresistible, we managed to pass on both for now.

We ended up at Falls Lake State Park at around dusk, so we didn't have a chance to check out the area.  The ranger came by and checked us in after dark.  We invited him into the RV, but he seemed to be a bit scared to come in and asked me to "please come out to the (his)vehicle to register".  He chilled out pretty quickly and was soon calling me "man" every sentence or two.  Nice guy.

Tomorrow we'll do some biking around the park, but the lake is down 8' from the drought that this part of the state is experiencing.  No campfires are allowed since the area is so dry and the lake looks pretty sad with so much shoreline showing.  Unless the day turns out to be stellar and the temperature rises above 65 degrees, we'll be heading down to Santee, SC for some warmer weather.

Gotta get some sleep,

Hi Andy & Jodie:

It's been great following along on your blog.. hopefully when you saw my comment about the photos you knew I was kidding! Keep the photos coming they have been great. I miss both of your faces! I also keep forgetting to ask you if your familiar with or have used Skype. Its an online software to make phone calls...free. All you need is a headset with a mic that you can get at any staples or even a Walmart. They run about $20. I have a teleconference with Poland and India (video optional if you have a camera) every morning and it works flawlessly. An occasional echo or delay when theres a lot of people on, that's about it. let me know if you want to know anymore about it.
