I booked us a B and B and got it for 30 bucks a night. We checked in around 12 and were on the scooters by 1. They only had 2, so Dvo said go ahead, and off Tyler and I went. Come to find out, Tyler has never ridden a dirtbike/motorcycle/scooter before. Long story short, after a brief tutorial in a parking lot, he didn't die
We headed out for the mountains- yea I forgot to mention, the backdrop of the beach is mountains. We rode probably 10 miles or so to a small town in the foothills. We considered riding to Pisa, but rain was inevitable, and I wanted to be able to quit as soon as it started. So, we headed back into town and rode along the main drag that runs along the beach. It was a great afternoon. I've always wanted to do that, and after not getting to in Barcelona, I was determined to make it happen.
After we finished riding, we went and made reservations at a seafood joint, which was part of the reason Dvo agreed to go to the beach. We were all excited about some fresh seafood, and had held off from ordering it in Rome. We all got this fried fish dinner- Dvo and I split it and also had plates of pasta. Those who know me know I am a picky eater, or at least I was pre-Europe. Well, tonight I ate whole fish- scales, heads, and all. I also ate entire eels and shrimp with the shells still on. When in Rome?
Also, I befriended a local street cat, which Lauren will no doubt be shocked to hear.
Venice, here we come.
