I had no idea Vienna was this beautiful! We took the train from Prague down, and got in to Vienna around 2. The next morning, we went to the Spanish Riding School, home of the Lipizzaner Stallions. We watched them train for 3 hours. Obviously, this was one of Lauren's favorites. And I gotta admit, those horses were incredible. The arena was absolutely amazing too. They told us no pics, but I managed to sneak a few in. After that, we went to the Hofburg and Schoenbrunn Castles, where Marie Antionette's mom lived. Both were very cool, but I find the castles to be a huge waste of money. One is enough for me. We managed to see three this week (Versailles later). The architecture in Vienna is second to none (but maybe tied with Barcelona!). Lauren and I seemed to find chocolate covered strawberries nearly everywhere we went, which was fine by us, We also went to a butterfly garden, which was interesting, but freaking hot (imagine 80 degrees when wearing clothes suitable for the 30 degree weather). We also ate at a good local food joint. Lauren and I both ordered ribs, and about had heart attacks when they brought us each 20 ribs atop a huge pile of french fries!
