While in Prague I spent a lot of time hanging out with a guy named Tristan, who was on a year trek around the world from Australia. We were also joined by a couple guys from Canada and a guy from South Africa.
Okay I'm not really sure how this works... But hopefully it does. We stayed at Miss Sophie's hostel, which is incredibly nice for a hostel. But enough about that. Prague was great. VERY touristy compared to Brno, and honestly not really the Czech Republic experience. In Prague, the vendors/store owner/bartenders all WANT to know english because it means business. In Brno, knowing english doesn't really matter, as students are really the only english speaking citizens. The result? In Prague, you can buy train tickets, order food, do whatever in English- no problem. But where's the fun in that? I have developed what I call "the game" (the title needs work). Basically, in Brno, the menus are all in Czech, so I just point and pray. So far, I haven't been disappointed.
