There is a deli inside the Whaler's Store and for lunch we had the clam chowder and ruben sandwich which were both excellent.
I had a coffee from Lappert's Ice Cream & coffee. The coffee is good but the cookie I got there was a disappointment -not fresh at all.
To the pool and then get ready for the Old Lahaina Luau. It was the most highly rated luau and the standard of service was excellent. We were greeted at the door. Shown to the desk where picked up our tickets. The women in our party were given flowers for our hair and then we were shown which entrance we should go in
Once inside were all given leis. Very pretty. We were shown to our table and given our first drinks. The time before dinner you are free to walk around the grounds, visit with some of the artisans.
Our table did not have chairs. It was low to the ground and we had a ring-side view of all the dancing!
The food was great. I enjoyed every bite. The dancing followed the history of dance in the islands.
It was so much fun.
I wouldn't have wanted to celebrate a birthday in any other way.
