I had a hearty breakfast at the Big 3. I can only imagine that the name refers to having three big meals but I am not sure.
The spa here is famous because it has its' own source of mineral springs. This apparently is quite unique. I splurged and had a massage. Having a spa treatment also allows you access to the bathing ritual mineral pools inside and mineral pools outside too. So you scrub yourself down with exfoliant and shower. Go to the first calm pool which was a comfortable 37C. Then you shower off and then go into the hot jetted pool 43C. From there you must hydrate (water provided) and then shower and try the sauna and steam room. You can also use ice chilled towels if they are needed. This trip the sauna was not at all warm enough. I must say the steam room with a eucalyptus aroma was indeed very steamy.
Then you have your treatment and then one goes to the outdoor pools which includes one that plays music under the water.
I carried on my day with a yoga class. I was one of two students. The other student doubled my age. It was nice to have another instructor's perspective and enjoy the benefits of yoga especially when on vacation.
Dinner was also at the Big 3. I had a spinach salad with apples and I asked them to add strawberries and candied pecans which I split with Heidi as she had the very good Mac & Cheese with hickory smoked bacon and with Panko crumbs. Keeping with our home comfort foods apple crisp was ordered for dessert. Yum.

It's the last time I have to pack for a very long time! Tomorrow we drive back to San Jose and it's onto Canada!
