Arrived in Aussurucq after a nice drive down from Bordeaux. Very small town of about 250 people and assorted cows and sheep. Not much to do here, but the scenery is beautiful and there are plenty of good hiking and (difficult) bicycling routes. We live in a little chalet that we're renting from a woman who lives next door and has a pool we can use. She doesn't own any livestock, but there's a field right behind our house where there are usually plenty of cows. Beyond that is a large hill/small mountain that provides a really nice backdrop.
