Hello All!
This weekend was one of traveling into the mountains!  We took 5 trains, two buses and went to three cities. The first of which was a city in Assisi.
On Thursday, we traveled by train to Assisi, the home of St. Francis.  We left bright and early at 6:45 to begin the journey.  We took the metro to Termini Train Station and then nearly missed the two hour train to Assisi.  Once we arrived we then had a thirty minute bus ride up the mountainside into Assisi.

Sadly it was raining, but we trudged through our two hour tour of many of the churches, frescoes, and mountain/hill views of this old city in the mountains.  The views were beautiful and the town was very Medieval in its design.  Our tour guide was excellent and showed us many churches, including the one built on St. Francis's home.  We even got lunch before heading to our next stop for the weekend, Urbino!
