Sun Soaking Bahamas style

Our farewell to the Bahamas was the second of out formal nights with the dress code being "Elegant". Depending on interpretation this turned out to be anything from tuxedos to t-shirts and everything in between. There were lots of elegant outfits to be seen.
Our second Bahamian stop was in Freeport which, as the name suggests, has a lot to do with shopping and duty free. There were, again, a huge variety of excursions on offer ranging from adventure to luxury resort. The down side of this stop was that we got in early in the morning, 7AM, and leave at 3PM meaning 2:30 back on board. The sun at this time of the year takes a bit longer to get to beach heat so we opted for loungers on deck at the poolside, what a great choice. Straight after breakfast (that means around 10:30 or 11 AM :-) we chose our position, put out towels on the loungers, applied suntan lotion, took up position and became lizards. Annie read her Kindle book and I listened to mine and the only interruptions were to get something to drink, turn the loungers towards the sun as it moved (well actually the earth rotated), had a swim, got a late lunch, or just chatted about what an amazing day we were having. This all ended as appropriately as the day (year) before, but this time with an ice cream :-) We then moved to loungers right at the back edge of the deck to get the very last rays as we sailed away and watched the sun set.
