We left home slightly later than intended and with bags a bit heavier than we had hoped but, then again, we are going for 51 days! Also, our trip will see us traipsing the Chinese countryside, climbing the Gobi sand dunes, lounging on a 5 star Yangtze cruiser and celebrating Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (Jewish New Year and Day of Atonement) so not just t-shirts and trainers!
We made it to Beijing without any problem aside from a slight delay at take-off but, with a nine and a half hour flight ahead of us, what's half an hour between friends?!

UR trip
Hi you two derringdo's!!!!! Whatta journey you are on and I am green with envy!!! I've been to China and loved it. ( Hey Annie...Great shopping but I have a feeling you are not into that that much.) I have ALWAYS had a fascination for Tibet and want to know ALL about it when you get home!!!!! Its a VERY old movie but I think my curiosity started with the Ronald Colman movie LOST HORIZON!!!! Wouldn't you know it would start with a movie!!!!!! I wish you both healthy and happy Holidays and a very safe and happy trip 'there and back' THERE being wherever you are and BACK home to London. Much much love to both of you. Aunt Sybil
