On the bus to the Dead Sea...

Next stop, the Dead Sea. Thankfully we were now in the summer sunshine season of the day. We stopped for views and photos of the salt, a salt pillar, the Dead Sea and Wadi Mujib Gorge. We were going to the Dead Sea Spa Hotel to make use of their facilities and private beach. Annie and I chose to skip lunch in favour of float time. No matter how many times or how often you visit the Dead Sea, we were on the Israeli side in December 2007, it remains the most amazing and magical experience. This time we also got ourselves covered in Dead Sea Mud and looked like we were wearing wetsuits :-) It really does rejuvenate your skin! The hotel had a great swimming pool which we swam in after we had showered the Dead Sea salt and mud off of us.
