No visit to Durban would be complete for us without a visit to The Beverly Hills in Umhlanga. It is the most wonderful place to go for tea / lunch / a swim / drinks / whatever reason you want. It is set overlooking the Umhlanga Rocks beach and Indian Ocean with a great swimming pool, amazing exotic plants (which I don't know the name of but all of these photos are of the same plant!) and even the odd bit of "wildlife".
 
An additional treat for me was that a really good friend from schooldays, Malcolm, who lives in Cape Town, was in Durban on business for the day so he joined us for a while too.
