We were staying a few minutes walk from Yael's home in a guesthouse called "Little House in the Colony", definitely somewhere we would recommend as a place to stay in Jerusalem, see www.o-niv.com/melonit. This is in the area of Jerusalem known as the German Colony and a great area to be in, easy to get everywhere and a really "buzzy" area by day and night.
 
Ashley, Yael's older daughter (Katia is her younger daughter), fetched us so we could join her in going to Friday Night Synagogue, where better than to spend Shabbat than in Jerusalem?! After Shul we went to Yael for an amazing Shabbat supper and had the pleasure of meeting her family and some of her friends.
