After an overnight flight and an early check-in to our Tel Aviv beachfront hotel, we headed off to Walter (Zvi) and Hannah for breakfast. They are Annie's cousins and wonderfully interesting people, I doubt a visit to Israel could be complete without a visit to them. Breakfast lasted until after lunchtime and, was it not for the fact that we really wanted a walk along the beach, we would have probably spent the entire day with them!
The weather was warm and so was the sea so we spent the afternoon walking and wading along the Tel Aviv beach while watching some very talented kite-surfers. It looks like a fantastic sport, maybe one day we will try and learn how to do this.
We watched the beautiful sunset from a beach café over a local beer and a plate of hummus, YUM!
The next morning, after a lazy Israeli breakfast, we wandered around the Carmel market and the Nahalat Binyamin crafts market where we even managed to buy ourselves some local crafts before heading off to Jerusalem.
