After a stunning week in Falmouth visiting friends we enjoyed several trips out in good weather surprisingly, as it seems to have been raining hard in many other places around the country.  We had a great boat trip around Falmouth Harbour and a really interesting tour of an old Tin Mine.
These four days were followed by another four on Hayling Island, visiting with cousin Eileen who made us very welcome again in her lovely home on the south side of the island.  We were also able to catch up with friends Derek and Sally on Titchfield Common and another cousin - Audrey and her partner Bob at Pagham near Bognor Regis.  Again, we had almost perfect weather except for a terrific downpour while we were visiting a Roman Palace near Chichester.
Now we are in good old Somerset for a few days staying at a great Dairy Farm near Panborough - a little way out of Wells our old home.  Today has been clear and sunny all day long and is quite hot in fact.  Bumped into Doreen (very old friend) and had a cuppa with her and visited with Rosemary Butcher an old neighbour.  Hope to catch up with John, Carole and family later in the week.
