Yesterday, (2nd) had a really yummy trip to Cadbury World at nearby Bourneville.  What a fantastic tour it was.  We now know exactly how chocolate is grown, manufactured and all about the various products that are made from it.  It took all of 3 hours to see everything properly and of course we had ample time for trying out free samples as well as the opportunity to create our own "new line" from a choice of fillings added to a small a cup before a generous amount of delicious warm thick liquid milk chocolate was poured on top and we were given a small spoon to taste our "creation"! Mmm! My kind of place!
Later we went to Carolyn and Andy's beautiful house at Dorridge for a lovely evening meal and did plenty of catching up with them before ending our evening by watching good old Coronation Street and East Enders - which suited most of us (Barry wasn't much impressed, but watched anyway!) (weather Showery with some sunny periods - not cold)
Today, (3rd) Barry and I took off early to make our way over to Leicestershire.  Carolyn had printed an RAC route map for us which took us on 4 motorways (M42, M6, M69 & M1) and was very direct - only taking a bit over an hour (even with a short ciggy stop on the way)  It was great to catch up with Aunt Ada again and Barry's cousin Trevor was there to greet us too.  Barry hadn't seen him for around 40 years, but in earlier days had been like a big brother to him so it was a very satisfying day all round with loads of reminiscing going on.
Had a super lunch in a great old pub out in the country and returned to Marg's place at 4.30pm after a wonderful day out.  (weather: Heavy showers but with some long sunny periods throughout the day - close to 20degrees)
