Arrived at Marg's place after a bit of a long journey from Liverpool.  Managed to get a little lost on way out and almost ended up back at Albert Dock, then got on to the M6 expecting a journey of about hour and a half, but with weather conditions and horrendous traffic - it was 3 hours before we arrived, but at least we were safe and sound.  It's great to be with Marg again, and today is her birthday so we are all going out to a nice restaurant somewhere out in the country and will be meeting up with Paul and his girlfriend and Carolyn, Andy and Katie.  Marg received several phone calls from the family this morning so was able to speak to Eileen on Hayling Island and have made arrangements to stay a few days with her after our visit to the West Country next week.  Hoping to get over to Leicestershire during this week to visit Barry's last two remaining aunts (sister's to Arthur) - it should be an easy journey from here (famous last words).  No doubt all our friends and relations back in Oz are concerned about the latest terrorist attacks on London and Glasgow as well as the terrible floods in the north of England.  Fortunately we have been well away from all of these events.  Managed to enjoy several sunny days looking around Liverpool, Southport and Blackpool and it was really only the last day that was raining hard and continued throughout our journey down, however as I am writing this, the sun is shining through the window and we are hoping that it is finally Summer and we can take off the borrowed winter wollies and get into some of the clothes we've brought with us!
