Happy Birthday to Kathy Eckler, hope you are having a great day and enjoying the Keys!
We have been here a week, and each day we learn a little bit more. We learned that we missed a movie, in English, at the local theatre- Silver Lining Playbook, next one to come to town will be advised at a later date. I guess it is a hit and miss!
Coin is primarily a market town serving around six different villages. It boasts a thriving ceramic industry; this is the place Picasso used to fabricate his ceramic works
In Malaga yesterday we learned that at the airport there is no access to the arrivals level by car. You must park, go into the airport and greet your guests! How about that, no driving around in circles waiting for someone who is coming out, looking frantic searching for you! We will be there after you get your bags! We learned that coffee is all espresso and the only difference is the size, you order by size
We came home to BBQ our market purchases and enjoyed our evening. Tony now wants to play Gin Rummy instead of Rummy 500. I cleaned his clock! I think he is looking forward to a game that has four players!
In our quiet times, Tony reads, researches for our next days events and he loves to BBQ . I love to cook so that is certainly part of the vacation. More food photos to come! I am a garden guard, every day I walk the gardens and look for more fruit on the trees and check the progress of those just budding after their winter rest. I look for new flowers in the planters. In an area that is known for wild herbs and lavender, and wild boars, I am disappointed that we cannot buy any fresh basil, oregano, rosemary. Readily available is parsley, dill and cilantro! As we walk I pick up greens wondering if they may have some use, no luck yet, but I keep my eyes peeled for them and of course the boars as well! I also have my eyes peeled for Antonio Banderras, he is from Malaga!
We had a quiet day, a few errands, checked out a ceramic retailer and with few purchases returned home. All is well,
