Paris, Normandy Beaches, and trip back to London!

I was able to meet up with my buddy Trevor who is interning there for the summer and we spend a day enjoying the sights. We meet up with another KSU girl who is going to school and is living with a local family. We have a wonderful meal at their house and then spend the evening going to a local concert in the Bastille area (all the streets surrounding it are closed off). The next day is Bastille day which is the independence day of France. The day starts off with a HUGE parade and other activities throughout the day and is topped off by the most magnificent set of fireworks I have even experienced. They were over the river and on the Eifel Tower. The fireworks were lighting up the sky to the right of us and fireworks were going off on and around the tower to create an amazing site. The extent of the fireworks that were installed in and on the tower was mind blowing. There were times the entire Eiffel tower was lit up with a combinations of every sort of firework you can imagine. It was something people fly across the globe to see on New Years or such, and we were right there in the thick of it!

I will update this more but I want to get you caught up..........Trevor and I spend the next two days driving to the Normandy beaches and touring the site, an amazing experience. We are able to see where the U Boats open there doors on that terrible morning. We could only imagine how brave those soldiers must have been (and how scared). We go to the memorials and they are an amazing site.

We get back to Paris and my mom and her friend meet us and we spend the day with them.

I make my way back to London, catch the ferry, and arrive in London. My mom and her friend make their way up to Amsterdam while I am selling my motorcycle in London.

I sell my bike with the help of Gerald and we spend the day detailing it again at his house.

I stay with the Kuckelman's again, Mike and I go out for some drinks and amazing Curry one of the nights.

I spent the evening at the airport of the 21st to catch the flight at 6 to Edinburgh were I am going to meet back up with my mom and Stephanie to rent a car and travel Scotland and Ireland.
