Hey - sorry folks.
I created this entry intending to update it, but time flies as always, so please accept my apologies for it remaining as asdf for so long.
So Paraty.
Our first camping experience. The facilities were dreadful, campsite full and spiders horrendous - although I didn't have one fall on me...poor Emily!
After much confusion, I ended up in a tent by myself which allows me to spread out a little, so all is good.
No major camping excitement - just the heat was unbearable. Around 43C by day, and 27 at night.
Main event was an idyllic boat trip out into the bay of Paraty, round several bays with plenty of opportunity to swim in the perfect aquamarine waters.
The town itself was also lovely, although not much to do there. Lots of time spent in an internet cafe: £1 for 2 hours of air conditioning is well worth it.
Cya,
J
