Anchored amongst a huge mussel farm, we try a couple of places for a while and nothin's goin. However the third place we choose to try we get more luck. 4 red snapper, and a baby hammer head shark (caught by CLAIRE) later and we set back to shore at 3:30pm where we part ways with the boys and make our way to Corromandel town.
When we arrive we stop for dinner at a Thai restaurant, which is being single handedly manned by one small Thai lady. She is literaly taking orders, running into the kitchen, coming out to take money and back to the kitchen to cook again. Claire speaks to her in Thai and we have a little chat with her about our travels and the flooding in Bangkok.
After dinner we get supplies for our night of camping. We stop to get petrol and the guy at the station tells us where there is a nice camping ground nearby, and tells us to say that "Graham sent you" so we think that maybe this means that we can get a discount or something. However when Claire tells the lady at reception that "Graham from the petrol station sent us." She says, blankly, "ok." And we have to pay $19 EACH to stay for the night.
We are a little bitter for having to pay more than we expected, but the camp site is really beautiful with its own private beach and full kitchen facilities. We watch the sunset whilst drinking one of our bottles of wine from Napier and sleep comfortably (thanks to Natalie and Damien) after staring up at the brilliant stars overhead.
