We make our way in the morning to Mr Koffie's Coffee place and have some coffee. After that coffee we decide to have another coffee, because the only thing he sells here is coffee. And it is good coffee too. Mr Koffie is a dutch guy who came to Lao to buy some coffee, and ended up marrying into a Lao coffee producing family who have their own plantation. Coffee.

Claire leaves Jo and Judith to their coffee, and drives down the road to get some money from the ATM. When she turns off the main road, she does another comedy fall this time landing with her leg under the bike. Ouch. Luckily for her, the passing locals do not laugh in fact they ignore her completely.
As the drive back to Pakse wont take long at all, we decide to drive back on ourselves to the 'Sekong Coffee resort." (Judith cries with laughter at the thought that such a thing exists.) It is very beautiful and has hotel rooms that probably cost more than our entire budget, but we enjoy a stroll around the plantation. And some more coffee.

On the way back to Pakse we stop at a waterfall. To get down to it we climb a home made step ladder, made of twigs and tires, which is covered in ants and strange purple fungi. On the way back up, we walk the long way round.

Back at Pakse we treat ourselves to dinner on a rooftop restaurant of a swanky hotel full of fat miserable middle aged Europeans and Americans. Just our luck, once we order food we look up to a black sky and the wind picks up, so we move downstairs. An evening of beer and banter, and plans to meet with Judith again tomorrow.
