I arrived safely in Sydney, and I am here for 4 days before I start my Contiki tour. The first two days I spent exploring the city, wandering around and taking in the sights of the Opera House, the bridge, the Botanical Gardens, the Darling Harbour, the Rocks, Circular Quey, the city center... Its a beautiful yet quaint city and there's so much to see. I've been walking for hours on end all around.
I also took a ferry to Manly Beach, which was nice, but I have beaches back at home, so the beaches aren't as impressive, but still a great place. Today I went on a boat ride in the harbour on our friends boat. I know a few people in the city and everyone has been so warm and welcoming, inviting me into their homes for dinner, taking me out and showing me around the city...
Bondi Beach was a cool spot, and is one of the most popular beaches in Sydney. Its a popular surfing spot and the street is lined with shops, restaurants and bars. I took a walk over to the next beach along the rocky and rugged shoreline.
