Our flight out of spain was empty, so we each got three
seats to ourselves to passout. I snapped a couple of amazing shots of the alps
and then closed my eyes. Next thing i knew i was being awoken by the pilot's
voice saying that we're preparing to land. As we touched down in a completely
new place it didnt look thatttttt different, a beautiful countryside actually.
The airport was small, and after we passed through no security(they didnt even
have a passport booth where they couldof checked our documents), we were here;
in eastern europe. Immediately, we realized that this was alittle harder then
it looked, jack had spent a semester in Prague this past fall but had forgotten
all of his Czech. He had also never flown into this airport, which was three
hours away from Prague. Anyways, we found an information desk, bought tickets
for a bus to the main train station and we jumped on it. Everything looked
different, its hard to describe, you could feel the old side and the new side
of the country butting heads. Everything was new, everything had been built in
the past 15years or so... and it was booming, alot of industry! we passed by
audi and volvo dealerships, as we headed into the city. You could easily see a
bustling middle class. Brno is known for a very good university. Once we got to
the city center we managed our way to the train station and found out there was
a train heading to germany and passing through prague leaving in 15minutes.
Quickly bought tickets, (dan and pierre couldnt get money from the atm, jack
could and i had solid money with me so i exchanged some at the airport), and
jumped on the train. It was really a treat to se the countryside and not just the
big city side of the Czech Republic. Got some great shots of our three hour train
ride from Brno to Prague. The train we got left around 11... ended up getting
into prague around 2/3ishpm.
