What a day...
after a solid night's worth of sleep to catch up on a little jet lag. Dan and i had our first night in our actual room, quite quiet. We got up at around 12pm, ate a quick breakfast and discussed plans between jack, dan, stephen and myself... then pierre, ayelsa, farid decided to join on us on our plans(whatever they were). We decided to go to southern malta to a fish market and explore down there(boy if we only knew what plans we were about to get ourselves into). So we found out there was no direct bus down there so we had to jump on a bus to Valleta and then transfer, should take like a hour or so. Once we got within the city border, we realized that Carnaval was not something to skip out on, so like any good travelers, we all jumped off the bus and headed into the most amazing day(period)... it is the biggest holiday in malta and it is amazing. Pictures are the only way to describe this thing... Which i took plenty of, seemed like the entire island was there for this one event. I loved every minute... we got lunch, got malta beers, watched the parade, stayed for hours and danced till like 9, finally caught a bus back and now am writing late. They are throwing all the new kids into the pool so i must run and enjoy the celebrations. Classes start tomorrow(or so they should), but there is plenty of registration leftto do. Love you all
Cheers
