Here i am, in the middle of gatwick airport paying 20p a minute for internet. I had a great flight... it was about an hour late but it was real smooth... slept, wrote, watched juno on my ipod(flight movies were terrible), talked to a kid next to me who just started at the university of ciaro. Landed, grabbed my bags and jumped on the bus to gatwick right outside heathrow... no problem connecting. Im now sitting here, in the middle of commercial heaven, so many stores, almost as bad at heathrow. It will be a nice airport to layover while heading to africa... already scoped out some places to sleep for the 8 hours i gotta kill inbetween flights. It was actually a beautiful drive over here, took about an hour, but the rain and the fog really stuck to the typical weather of england. i have less then an hour till my malta flight. I paid jump on the net because i wanted to make sure there was the confirmation about the university residence somewhere(which there was, and the taxi should be there waiting for me in malta). they just posted my gate number so im going to go in a couple. They post the gate numbers only an hour before the flight(i think to encourage people to sit around all these duty free shops and buy shit they dont need). Hope all is well! Pass the address of this site around to those interested. Thanks for everyone.... Vick(dropping me off and dealing with the delay), Alex(map and a good convo before heading off), Mom(taking a challenge and taking public transportation), Dad(thanks for the letter, it was read over breakfast this morning), Jori(thanks for the letter :-), it was read in the pitch black as i could barely keep my eyes open), etc etc. Alright the french people next to me are making fun of me... Im off.

Yay! I'm so excited to read about your adventures while I'm up here in the snow. And then maybe I'll be in the blogs when I'm over there!

Gatwick
Justin, I was appalled by the way Heathrow (and now you say Gatwick does too) makes you wait in one area before learning your gate. Last year as I pased through Heathrow a Japanese couple who spoke no English were frantically trying to figure out their gate and the customer agent spoke no Japanese. I finally got him to realize he had to wait to see the gate announced, but what a pain for all of us.
Great thing about Heathrow is the marvelous spa - get a $40 foot reflexology or more if you have time, and spend your flight waiting time with fountains, lemon water, herbal tea in nice chairs with internet connections and great organic food.
