! That is cheaper than the bottled water they have here!!
Ry is right. I seriously went overboard with photos. I have a new obsession: doors, doorways, windows, and windowsills. I think I will put together a photo book collection or canvas collection when I come home of all of the obsession photos I took on this trip.
The train ride from Brasov to Sighisoara is labelled one of the most scenic in Europe according to our Eurail book. It was full of deep green rolling hills with herds of sheep here and there, and then switched to thick forested patches with steep canyons. There were many farm houses and little villages that seemed very isolated (besides a train passing by them). Once we got to Sighisoara, we quickly found our room for the night and headed to the old fortified town which is full of well presevered medievel architexture. Jess couldn't take enough pictures here as every corner you went around there was another amazing building full of colour and detail. Our highlights of the old fortified town was the clock tower, which you could see just about everywhere in the area, and the graveyard, full of elaborate tombstones and tall dark trees with vines wrapped all the way up their trunks. One thing I will soon miss about Romania is the cheap beer. You can get a 0.5L bottle for 4 Lei, which is a little more than $1 Canadian
