We enjoyed our day trip to Fraser Island on the luxury 4WD bus with gigantic tires. The island was very picturesque, we saw a couple wild dingos and a couple iguanas. And, we got to swim in what the Lonely Planet calls one of the 7 best swims in the world at Lake McKenzie.
----------
My mom asked why we call the car Lucky. Lucky got its name because every time we make it to our destination we feel lucky.
The 8 days I spent in Australia until Scott and Luz Maria arrived was the first 8 days I spent since May without a Lonely Planet . And....can you believe it....I survived! I didn't know what to do with myself at first (seriously) but then I realized it wasn't the end of the world. Helps that I speak the language here...mostly...which reminds me of another funny story...
In the grocery store yesterday this woman asks the cashier where brayge was. We're all like, "What's brayge?" Then she says, you know, brayge, like you put in the toaster. The cashier mumbles, I thought she said bridge. I had heard brade. Val says, you mean rhymes with dead?
