Stopped off in Byron Bay thinking we might spend the night. A huge storm, a cyclone they're calling it, came through this area today, so the beach is closed. Hiked out to Byron Cape and saw the lighthouse in the midst of the cyclone.  Byron Cape is the most easterly point of the Australian continent. Went into town to get lunch and it was just overrun with tourists and traffic. Not being terribly hungry and not able to find a decent place to park, we decided instead to head out of town and get a bite somewhere less hectic. So we headed to Surfer's Paradise...
