Woke up in idyllic Denman, sad that I had to leave. Just a minute out of town and I forgot my sadness when we turned off the road into Two Rivers Winery where we tasted many a wine, having the whole winery to ourselves. Unlike California vineyards, no winery we visited charged a tasting fee and we only saw four other people total at all three wineries. Every direction we turned in search of a new winery presented us with incredible lush valleys with occasional stone canyon walls breaking out of the forest and surrounding the farms and ranches.
We also stopped at James River and Cruikshank wineries. All three wineries were staffed by an incredibly friendly pourer, none of whom seemed to care if we ever left, especially the bloke at Cruikshank. I felt bad, in fact, when we finally did say goodbye and stepped out of his pouring room. It wasn't until after he'd given us advice on every possible route to Cairns and towns and beaches we ought to stop at and what he thought about the chances of Lucky making it around Australia (a pretty good chance, according to him)
Stopped off for dinner in another picture perfect 1950s small town called Uralla. We both ordered a mouth-watering tender steak sandwich and washed it down with fries and ice cold water. I did not alter my sandwich order at all, allowing them to serve it complete with beets, fried eggs and pineapple. Mmmmm, perfect.
Bellys full, we hit the road until I became bleery eyed, sometime after passing across the dividing range on our way back to the coast. Spent the night sleeping in the back of Lucky listening to rain drops pound the roof.

Hunter Valley
We also loved the back valleys. Our timeshare was in Coff's Harbor. So, we spent 6 days finding these little towns to love! I guess it's normal to have 2 pubs in each town. One is usually at each end of town. They call that the 'top of the town and the bottom'.
Found my destination
I am enjoying catching up on two months of photos and entries from your travelpod. I was shocked to find wineries in Temecula were charging $10 for tasting! Yikes, since I had left your grandmother in car during sampling wine we made a trip the next day to Indio for a date milkshake1
