I hadn't realized how familar I had become with Asia.  It seems so strangely quiet in Sydney.  And clean.  And safe.  No one has honked since I arrived.  (That's SO weird).  I wore a seatbelt.  No one has asked to take their picture with me.  No one tried to run me down in their car.   Everyone drives IN their lane.  I haven't seen anyone poop in public.  Or pee.  I ate hamburgers for lunch and beef sausage for dinner.  You have to put your trash in a bin.  You can't just throw it on on the ground.  It's SO weird here.

Sydney vs India
India might be an amazing place to visit. Sydney is a place to fall in love with!

You left India one day too late
I read in the SF Chronicle today that India now allows women to be bartenders. Given all of the problems you described in India, I'm not quite sure this was the thing to work for, but hey, if you go back to Bombay, there is a woman mixin' drinks in a hotel there...

Oh, Merry Christmas. See you in a month and a half

Jeff
I only read this one entry so far and laughed out loud many times in my little internet 'cafe' in Railay, Thailand. The honking, eating meat (i tracked down a bacon cheeseburger in Ko Lanta, beef from new zealand...amazingly delicious. I can't wait to read more about your travels, observations, adventures. Also, did you have any troubles uploading pics to travelpod (excrutiatingly slow?) that is why I am switching over to blogger..any tips are appreciated as you are the seasoned travelpod user) Enjoy the beef, the clean and no honking.

Kim
