The ride from the airport to the Colaba district of Bombay takes about 45 minutes...unless your cab driver falls asleep! He fell asleep at least 10 times during the drive. Talking to him didn't work...he was too tired to respond. I resorted to constantly poking him in the shoulder to keep him awake. Seriously.

Other than that, I really liked Bombay (except for the Maria Lodge. That place is crap). It has wonderful, new wide sidewalks. There are magnificent buildings and architecture everywhere, both colonial and modern. We ate dinner, had drinks and watched the sunset at a lovely bar on the beach called Saltwater Grill. People were super friendly and it felt relatively hassle free. It was a nice way to end 5 weeks in India.
