Monkey Temple and flight to India

Due to poor planning and dodgy management by Peregrine Travel (our tour operator) we had to return to Kathmandu and take a flight to Delhi, India. Instead of travelling by land into India as originally planned. The reasons I will refrain from getting into here to avoid feeling the frustrations again.
Back at Kathmandu, we had a free day in which we visited the Swayambhunath, famously known as the Monkey Temple due the abundance of Monkeys living there. The temple occupied a large area atop the hill with a large Stupa at the peak. Heavy incense smoke filled the air as monkeys roamed around freely playing and eating red dyed rice left by worshippers.
