Show trip route
We decided to take a Subway up to Broadway to see what tickets were available for tonight. When we got to the ticket booth (around 1:45) there was a line…and the booth didn’t open until 3:00, John was our hero… he stood in line in the pouring rain to get tickets to the show we wanted to see. Jaxson and I showed our support through the window at a nearby Starbucks nice and toasty, we texted him words of encouragement.
Spent the afternoon shopping in SoHo and Nolita , made our way back to the hotel to dry off and headed to dinner at Jaxson’s favorite restaurant in the world ;The NYC Noodle Bar in Greenwich Village…this time he skipped all the way there
The show we chose was at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, Rock of Ages; the scene is set for the late 80s on the Sunset Strip. A small town girl meets a big city rock player in the rock club where they fall in love. While the rock player is waiting for his first break, the girl is chasing her dreams to strike it big. Their story is told through some the 80’s hits of Journey, Reo Speedwagon, Night Ranger, Poison, Twisted Sister, White Snake and more. John and I really enjoyed it; in fact of all the shows I have seen in NYC this is my favorite! I’m pretty sure Jax liked it too…he just doesn’t want to encourage me to listen to more 80’s music! Still Raining when we came out of the show …we caught a cab (which are hard to get on a rainy night in NYC) and headed back to our hotel!
Jaxson's Deep thoughts;
Today we got up and it was raining. Then we caught a vab to an Italian restaurant called Pepolino's, It was okay. After lunch my dad stood in line during freezing rain for my Mom's Broadway tickets.After that we went to a few shops and went back to our hotel. After that we ent to my favorite place in the whole world THE NOODLE BAR, I would go into detail but I don't want you drooling on your keyboard. Then we went to this play , which I thought was Horrible, but hey its my moms kinda thing. Then we came back to the hotel.Tomorrow Canal Street Can't wait.
