One day three countries... We started off the day in Paris, ordering a crepe to share... we thought it was delicious until we reached the middle and found a raw egg stting inside it...need to learn to read French! We went back to our hotel grabbed our bags and headed for the Paris Nord train station. We took the Chunnel back to Paris (I thought it would be mostly through a tunnel) our 2.5 hour trip took us through allot of farmland and we were only under water for around 20 minutes! We didn't have anytime in London... so we grabbed a taxi and went straight to Heathrow....passing through London made us want to explore the city a bit more....possibly a Harry Potter tour with Jaxie!
Heathrow is a large but easily navigable (I think that is a word) airport. After checking in, we went to have a snack at the Virgin Clubhouse (different then on the way in... this is for the departing travelers) the clubhouse looked like something from the Jetson's, high-tech and cool! We boarded our plane and prepared for the 7hr.15min. flight back to NYC...the flight went by fast...we had lunch, Afternoon Tea (I love the Brits)I snuggled up in my duvet and watched Bride was great having a library of movies to watch...John could watch something deep, violent or educational and I could stick to my more shallow entertainment...speaking of that....Thanks Cari , for turning me on to the show Gossip Girl, I downloaded it to my IPod and have watched most of the first season on this trip!
We landed safely and took a taxi to our hotel in NYC...dropping our bags off we noticed a huge crowd of people walking around in graduation attire (caps and gowns) ...made us look forward to the weekend! Jaxson has a favorite restaurant in NYC its called the Noodle Bar(SoHo) we went there for his honor.. Okay, not really we love it too! Just trying to release some guilt from going without him! After dinner we walked around SoHo...NYC is always alive...took a subway back uptown to 42nd we walked back across Times Square (talk about alive) to our hotel near Grand Central Station... that is when tired set in... it was now 7am Paris time...but we are trying to adjust I'm sure we'll feel great after a good nights rest!
