Our last day in Munich. Jim decided to stay home and I took the morning to pack and get organized. Sharon and I went out on the bikes in the afternoon to get a 'Slush Puppie' from the only 'Slush Puppie' guy in Germany - or so we think. Christoph got home from work a little early and asked me if I wanted to take the car out for a spin. They have a BMW 330 and since they live close to the Autobahn it was easy to get on and before I knew it I was topping 230 kph. Just barely over 130 mph. It was great - and there were still cars passing me! The car handles like a dream and Christoph and I agree that those cars were made to be driven and since the speed limit is nonexistent what a great opportunity to drive fast! We did a quick little loop around the area - out by the soccer stadium where some of the World Cup games were played and then we were back home in no time. We picked up Sharon and Jim and headed back to the beer garden at the "Old Hotel" where we spent one last evening. One last game of Scrabble - Christoph didn't win - but Sharon did!
No photos for today - and I am sorry for the delay in getting these last postings taken care of. We had full days and long nights and I had to sleep instead of uploading - although I did keep up on the journals and photos. Hope you enjoyed our journey and stay tuned for the next one - it might be here sooner than you think.

Brava, Steph. Though no photos on this blog the two before were a feast for the eyes. Scenery, superb; food, devine; children, beautiful; friends, so talented. What a trip!! On to the next one!!!!!

I am not sure that this is spelled correctly but it does fit. What a great trip. You two are doing this retirement thing the right way. Where will the intrepid tour guide and her side kick take us the next time as they continue their search for the perfect gelato, pretzel, schnitzel, veal sausage and scenery? See you soon. Terry
