We were very happy this morning as the sun was shining and this meant that our plans would proceed as planned and we would spend the day at the 'Wank' haus up on the top of one of the mountains. We had a big breakfast at the hotel, walked a bit around the nearby lake and then checked out of the hotel and headed to the "Wank". We took the Wankbahn - cable car - way, way, way up to the top of the mountain and that is where we spent the day/afternoon. We were at about 1,700 meters and the temperature was warm and it was beautiful with all of the Alps in the distance. There were many paragliders sailing around the sky and that made for a nice contrast to the snow capped Alps.
We came down around 4:30 in the afternoon and then drove up to Ettal and the Monastery for a quick look before then driving back into Munich. We stopped and picked up a couple of pizzas and then headed back home to have dinner - relax and get the Scrabble board out!
Christoph by the way, is the King of the Scrabble board - as a person that learned the majority of his English later in life, he is amazing! Two more full days in Munich left and we will make the most of it. More thumbnails ...
