A few dark clouds this morning, but we packed our umbrellas and our jackets and headed out.  We drove down towards the area that we were in yesterday but stopped off at a different lake to walk around a bit.  The sun was now out but the wind was so strong that we could barely stand.  You will see a couple of photos of the boats moving and the waves hitting the shore.  This was however a dream for the windsurfers.  Next we headed to our destination driving down country roads and through farmland to the Andechs Monastery.  It probably wouldn't be as famous as it is if it didn't brew some of the very best beer in Germany.  The place was packed.  There are trekking trails that take people there or you can drive by car and the different bier gartens were full as the brew was definitely flowing.  Jim is now on a Schweinshaxe hunt and they had huge roasted ones there so that was the meal of the day as you can see in the photos.  We enjoyed the sun and walked around a bit.  A lot of fresh air and we were quite tired by the time that we left which was around 6:30.  We drove back to Munich and stopped off at the store and picked up some vegetables and sausages and fruit and decided to grill at home and watch a movie.  We watched Cars Will -  Funny Christoph and Sharon really liked it.  We told them that you have almost all of the cars from the movie and that it is one of your favorites.  Everyone especially liked Tow Mater and Sharon thought the Miata Twins were really funny.  Christoph liked the Ferrari references and when Luigi and Guido were at the race and when Michael Schumaker showed up to buy tires that was the funniest.

Sunday should be a nice day - I am sure it will involve a bier garten, beer and some type of pork!

I guess I need to leave another clue.

Clue 2

To finish our little game
We must give the city a name

Latin for flooding river -
The name of this city came to be

Give it one more try to find -
Where we will have our little journey

I can't think of any more rhymes....but....both guesses the other day were good and you were on the right track more or less.

Where in the World Is Steph and Jim?
Dad's guess was Monaco. I think Jason may be right - as usual! AT least it is the right area and the right distance.

Roll out the Barrel!! Of Beer Of Course!
Gorgeous Germany. So clean and inviting. We are loving the architecture and the food. Can almost hear the jovial laughter coming from the beer gardens. Cheers!

Must say your host and hostess are a very handsome couple. Sounds like you are enjoying your stay with them very much. We give Jim's new sunglasses a 10. Very handsome!

Your brother has nailed the mystery destination. Way to go Jas!!!

Spring time in the Alps reminds us of Spring Time in the Rocky Mountains. With all the moisture we have had both Winter and Spring our mountains are very lush and green now. Time to brush up on our yodelling!!
