"Why does it never rain on me, 'cause I watch the weather forecast very carefully"
 (with apologies to Travis)

Despite a lack of sunshine, the high pressure suggested it would remain dry for the day so I returned to North Berwick to continue the walk. I was walking on sand for much of the day as the
tide was very low and made good progress, reaching Prestonpans by 5pm. On the beach at Aberlady Bay I came across two people watching a skua swooping on a group of terns. One of them turned out to be Lesley Fairweather, a former colleague at Edinburgh Academy. At the bridge at the head of the bay there were more lapwings than I'd ever seen. Further on as I skirted the perimeter of Kilspindie golf course there was a great view of more than twenty seals on a sand bar.
I've already lost count of beaches, golf courses and harbours but today I notched up my second power station at Cockenzie.
So today's distance was 17 miles making a total of 71 miles so far.
