My first stop today is going to be Mossman Gorge, a beautiful tropical rainforest with a gorge and a few creeks running through. After I've parked my car I walk 3 kms to the start of this track. This is one of the oldest rainforests of Australia, and actually the oldest rainforest in the world. It's quite impressive! I thought the humidity would be enormous but it doesn't seem to bother me that much. The track leads me through the forest along some beautiful creeks filled with boulders creating little waterfalls. On my way back I stop at the gorge to take a swim. The water is crystal clear and I am surrounded by fish. This feels perfect! After I've cooled off, I'm on my way to the second spot of the day to hopefuly spot some saltwater crocs!
