Sydney! An amazing skyline appeared as I drove into the city. I'm spending my first two nights in Glebe point, half an hour walk away from the city centre so I can park my care safely and more importent for free :D
Suprisingly it only takes a few hours to walk through to centre and see all the hotspots. It is a very nice walk and my first stop is the fishmarket. All these fresh fish are making me hungry! After a quick snack a head on to Darling Harbour. This city is alive! I'm looking for a good spot to get a good view of the Opera House. Harbour Bridge seems to be that spot. You get a beautiful look over te centre and it's skyline. After the botanic gardens I'm done playing mr tourist. Time to meet some new people in my hostel. I'm playing cards with my roommates, 2 girls from Finland. The next day I have an interesting conversation with a Turkish guy about changes in generations and our digital culture. We both agree people should have more respect for each other and put more effort in expressing themselves through arts and craftmanship in stead of social media. Next evening I have some drinks with a group of Italians and the Finland girls. The're English is not that good so they ask me to help them learning some words. I might do something with English workwise in my future because I enjoy using it and sharing my knowledge with others.

Two days of Glebe is enough for me an I decide to check out Bondi Beach, Sydney's only city beach and very famous. It is a nice beach but I don't get what the fuzz is all about.. Anyways, a good place for tanning :)

The time has come to visit another one of my travel buddies from South Africa, Jasmine! She lives in the North of Sydney in Collaroy. I shouldn't have come any earlier because she just had her second child, a little boy :)
I bought two kids book as a gift, something the little one will enjoy when he's 3 years old. Still strange to hear Christmas songs while it's 35 degrees and sunny. As I still don't want to pay for a Wifi connection (hey I'm Dutch, trying to get things for free is in our nature ;) ) I'm stuck to a library or the MCdonalds. MC it is! I end up helping to French girls finding a job since the're English is trés horrible. I should start an English class in a MC donalds restaurant haha.
I'm having lunch with Jasmine so I can meet her family and her newborn. It was nice catching up with Jasmine and share some memories of South Africa! In the evening I'm having some drinks with two German guys and two English guys. We're having a laugh and are up for some partying in Manly! Manly is suppose to be a good spot for bars and clubs.
The Germans decide to stay home so it's me with the English guys. We have to catch a bus across the street and the first fistfight between some guys already started. And it's only 9PM...
Aussies and alcohol, still not the best combination in lot's of cases.
We arrive in Manly and the fun keeps on going: A young drunk Australian bloke randomly starts punching and kicking people in their faces. So many drunk people on the streets. It reminds me of MTV's Jersey Shore, and that's not a thing to be proud of haha. We manage to avoid all the problems and got into a club. It's a crappy place and this not what I expected at all. Even the bus assistents at the busstop act like total assholes and were willing to fight me. I ignore them and it seems to work. Well, better luck next time I guess! Next day I decide to have a workout on the beach. It has bin a while.. What a privilege to live here and workout on the beach, so relaxing! In the afternoon Jasmine takes me on a little tour to Palm Beach to show the surroundings. It's a very nice environment, especially when you're loaded! Some of her friends join us and we're getting some afternoon drinks followed by dinner in a nice beergarden. Good times! And a very nice way to end Sydney!
