Where I stayed
Suni-Sands RV Park
We say HI from Yuma AZ . . .
We left 27DEC2012 Puerto Penasco and traveled Northwest along the Sea of Cortez on Mexico Highway Sonora 003 to the new toll highway 2 and entered the USA at San Luis Colorado . . . This was our first time entering the USA from Mexico with an RV . . . If you have an RV you automatically get stopped for an agricultural search . . . Things you cannot bring back into the US (even if originally bought in the US ) are eggs, pork/ham, chicken, tropical fruit Avacados, oranges, mangos, apples, raw potatoes, dry dog food . . . It took us around 2 hours to get thru the border, which I hear is good! Jim brought back a cold from Mexico . . . too bad we can't leave that in Mexico! We arrived at Suni Sands in Yuma around 3:30 pm, connected with Family, Kathy & Wayne, and set up our RV
The next couple of days consisted of grocery, laundry, walks, Doggie Park, Rowdy is getting the hang of pacing himself with the Golf Cart, lunches out, wash/wax the truck and RV, visiting with our Friends Gail & Dale, and our Family Kathy & Wayne.
This is a busy time of year for us . . . Lots of celebrating going on! Starts out with Christmas on the 25th, our Wedding Anniversary on the 28th (44 years), Joe’s Birthday on the 29th, Kathy’s Birthday on the 29th, Mac’s birthday Jan 1 and of course New Years Day Jan 1 . . . So Happy New Years everyone, Happy birthday Joe, Kathy and Mac! And, Happy Anniversary to US!
Weather is nice in the high 60s and low 70s . . . lows around 45 . . . we had a slight sprinkling of rain last evening. The full moon is visible and in full glory.
Today, New Year’s Eve is the last day I can submit my photos taken on Federal lands in the www.ShareTheExperience.com photo contest. I am sharing those photos with you in this blog, 13 photos in all . . . If you access this website you can see and appreciate all the wonderful photos submitted by others who have also enjoyed the Federal Recreational lands . . . Pretty Awesome and totally priceless . . .
Happy Trails to you until we meet again! Jim & Connie & Rowdy too!
