Did you know that traveling and seeing sights is HARD WORK (both 4 letter words!). You gotta' get up early to see all the sights to travel on to the next stop and not miss anything in the middle! The check list always includes the camera, various lenses, charged camera batteries (a must), lens cloth, tripod. Taking photos from the front seat of the truck is a LOT different than taking them sitting on the back of the Goldwing . . . on the Goldwing the only thing that gets in the way is Jim's helmet and I can always stand up to miss it! There are more things on the truck, like the mirror, that get in the way of a clear picture . . .I think the mirror is important so I have to work with it . . . again HARD WORK! But, who's complaining! The worse day fishing is ALWAYS better than the best day at work!
Continuing on from Georgetown Lake Montana Friday 7SEP12 we spent the night at Lewis & Clark Caverns in Montana.
Baker's Hole Campground is located in Gallatin National Forest in southwest Montana 3 miles north of West Yellowstone on US Highway 191. At an elevation of 6,500 feet, Baker's Hole Campground encompasses 25 acres. Big signs greeted us stating 'This is Bear Country' and a whole list of rules of camping in Bear Country. We set up camp complete with our US Flag, fixed dinner, and met the campground host (from Napa Idaho). Hit the sack around 10:30 pm Mountain time.
More tomorrow! Happy Trails! Jim & Connie
