Yet another ferry - to Penang.  We decided to change our original plans which were to go over to the Cameron Highlands but it didn't fit our dates too well and we wold have been rushing around for no reason - we had pre booked accommodation in KL for NY's so had only a few days to get there.

We opted to go to Penang even though what we'd read in the LP wasn't that appealing...it turned out to be a lovely place.  We did alot of walking around and eating in lots of cheap places for peanuts...but it was fantastic food! Possibly one of the best places in the world for great cheap food!?

We saw the Eastern and Oriental Hotel...sister hotel to the Raffles hotel in Singapore..(from the same family group)

We did a tour of an old style house from the chinese/ malaysian era which was really interesting.  Learnt a lot about Feng Shui.

After this we just ate some more........
