A quick trip by ferry took us to the much quieter and chilled island of Koh Lanta.  We stayed on Carl and Sarah's recommendtion at Bamboo Bay Resort a lovely remote spot on the South of the island.  There were only 3 other places on Bamboo Bay Beach, a really beautiful spot, it would be very, very easy to get stuck here for a while, an excellent recommendation!

Margarida did some more diving here and Jim snorkelling which was excellent...at one point the whole boat on the way was super excited as the skipper had spotted a whale shark (these things are as big as houses! Yet rare to spot!).  We all rushed about getting snorkel gear on and fins but unfortunately it had gone...had enough of the noisy boats!  Gutted! Still our best snorkelling to date, excellent!
