Our next stop was going to be Cambodia so we booked ourselves onto a boat trip across the Mekong Delta ending in Cambodia. It took 3 days and 2 nights overnight at various city's along the way. Went to some floating markets were they would display their wears on a pole at the front of the boats, a small sweet factory where every thing was made of rice and a rice factory with the oldest machines ever.
The border crossing itself meant clearing customs in Vietnam then handing our passports over with the visa cash to the boat boy who dissappeared for the next couple of hours. A bit unnerving to say the least but we happily welcomed him back on board nearer the Cambodian border with our new visa'a all done for us.
Met some more lovely Australians - Wayne and Ross and some crazy Irish - Aidan and Annemarie. Then proceeded a bad joke where the Englishman the Irish man and the Australian man all proceded to get blotto on the boat to Cambodia! The most entertaining and drunken border crossing to date!
