Pleasnnt 4  hour drive to Wanake thru the mountains along a river.  Saw dozens of dolphins along the sea and met up with sand flies, first bugs of NZ.  Nasty!
We immed. booked a flight and cruise to Milford Sound because the weather was good and the forcast is bad.
It was an interesting flight on a single engine, 1 pilot, 5 passenger plane. The plane never got above the mts'. but wove thru them.  The final approach in the Sound required the airplane to navigate the fiord channels.  And do an 180 degree turn, low in the mts. Cross winds and a very bumpy landing got our hearts started-or stopped.
the cruise thru the fiords was special  The fiords are really big here!!
The one mt. had a 2000ft. drop to the water.  See the photo's.

Talk about big fjords!! Have you ever seen the ones in Norway??? Now those are BIG!! One time I was traveling there and my companion talked to the locals about those fjords. Quuite an interesting conversation I must say.
It's GRANDMA DAY. Going shopping in Americus and setting hair. I'm taking all the printouts of your travel log for her to read. She'll love it.
Frankly I don't even think you guys have left Ohio. I think its some conspiracy theory vacation. You set up all these photos, create a blog and WHO KNOWS. Then we all say and WHO KNEW???? : )
Enjoy your travels, happy travelers and keep up the posts. It's been fun. Love, Linda

Wow
Looks like the plane tour was beautiful as well as the fjord trip. We are jealous of the warmer weather - it's freezing here and finally stopped snowing. We are off to Denver next weekend so hopefully we'll have nicer weather there. Love, D, A, and W
