Started off the day with an all american breakfast (everything came with fried potatoes), unlimited coffee refills - fab. Took the subway uptown to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Wow, what a place. We loved it and we only scratched the surface. Particularly liked the modern art (Hirst, Pollock) and the ancient Japanese silk prints. You could spend a week there and still not see everything. Great cafe too!
Jim has joined the local gym 'NYC Sports Club'. $20 for 2 wks. Guys in there were huge apparently. When Jim told the girl on reception he was a trainer, she looked at him as if to say 'Yeah right'.
Finished off the day at the Empire Diner on 10th. Moving into a studio apartment tomorrow further down the street. Weather forecast a bit ropey...hoping to catch a broadway show.

Sounds like Jim might need a workout after US cooked breakfasts :)
